Where is El Madroñal?
El Madroñal sits about 400 metres above sea level in the municipality of Benahavís. You drive up the nice road towards Ronda and after a few minutes from the coast you are in the green hills with pine trees, cork oaks and fresh air. It is close to San Pedro de Alcántara (around 10 minutes), Puerto Banús (15-20 minutes) and Marbella centre (around 25 minutes). Malaga airport is about 45-50 minutes away. Many people like this location because you get the peace of the countryside but you can quickly go down to the beach, restaurants or shops when you want. El Madroñal was once a big private hunting estate owned by important families. In the beginning it belonged to the Parladé family, and later it was connected to people like Thierry Roussel and even Adnan Khashoggi.
