FAQ

Atalaya Alta is the upper part, on the inland side of the main road. It's quieter, more residential, with golf courses and larger villas. Atalaya Baja is closer to the beach, with more apartments and townhouses. Both are called "Atalaya", but they feel different.

Yes. The area has two golf courses (Atalaya Old and Atalaya New), and you have El Paraíso, El Campanario, Los Naranjos, and several others within a short drive. It's one of the better areas on the coast if golf is a main reason for buying.

Atalaya is on the New Golden Mile, between Estepona and Marbella. It's about 15 minutes to Marbella centre, 10 minutes to Estepona, and 35 minutes to Málaga airport.

It depends on what you want. You usually get more space for your money in Atalaya than in central Marbella, and the area is quieter than Puerto Banús or Estepona town. But you'll need a car for most things, and the area doesn't have the same restaurant or shopping options as the towns.
